The short version

When a guest pays you outside of Stripe, you log it on their reservation in a few taps. Freebo marks it paid and runs it through the same double-entry ledger that handles card charges. No side spreadsheet, no guessing at month-end.

How do I track offline payments on a booking?
Open the reservation, choose to record a payment, and pick the method, cash, check, Venmo, or another type. Enter the amount and save. The balance updates immediately and the booking shows as paid.
Do offline payments keep my books accurate?
Yes, and this is the whole point. Cash and check payments flow through the exact same double-entry ledger as card payments. Your revenue, outstanding balances, and totals all stay correct without any manual reconciliation on your end.
Can I record a partial payment, like a deposit?
You can. Log whatever amount the guest actually paid and Freebo tracks the remaining balance. When they settle the rest in person, record that payment too and the reservation closes out.
What about refunds on cash or check bookings?
Refunds work the same way as payments. Record the refund against the reservation, and the ledger reflects it correctly. Because refunds adjust your books the right direction, your numbers stay honest.
Does this mix with card payments on one booking?
It does. A guest can put a deposit on a card and pay the balance in cash, and both show on the same reservation. The totals always add up to the grand total.
