Double-Entry Ledger
Every dollar that moves through Freebo posts to a real accounting ledger.
- ✓ Every financial event — booking, refund, fee, payout — posts a corresponding double-entry transaction to Formance, the ledger of record.
- ✓ Freebo never uses SQL for outstanding balance calculations. The ledger is the single source of truth.
- ✓ Transactions are idempotent — retries and replays never produce duplicate entries.
Operator Payouts

- ✓ Stripe payouts are reconciled against the ledger automatically — the number in your dashboard matches what lands in your bank account.
- ✓ Each payout shows a breakdown: gross collected, Stripe fees deducted, Freebo fees deducted, and net deposited.
