✦ Key takeaways
- Offer multiple duration options (2hr, 3hr, 4hr…) on one product — not separate products
- Asset availability blocks correctly for the guest’s chosen duration
- Pricing recalculates live as the guest adjusts duration or party size
Before flexible-duration booking, the standard workaround was creating three separate products for “2-hour tour,” “3-hour tour,” and “4-hour tour.” It worked, but it was messy — three products to keep in sync, three availability calendars, three sets of add-ons, and guests who were confused about which to pick.
Freebo’s flex-duration products let you offer all those options under one product. Guests see a duration picker in checkout; the price updates as they adjust.
Operator setup
- Set product type to Flex Duration
In the product form’s Scheduling tab, toggle the product type to Flex Duration. This unlocks the duration configuration options.
- Configure base duration and per-hour rate
Set your base duration (e.g., 2 hours) and base price. Add the additional hour rate that charges for each hour beyond the base. Choose which duration increments to offer guests.
- Set up tiered-hourly pricing tiers
In the Pricing tab, configure guest-count pricing bands. Freebo stacks the duration rate and the per-guest rate together automatically.
- Publish — checkout handles the rest
Guests see a duration selector on your public product page. Price updates live as they adjust. Asset availability blocks the full selected window.
Can guests book a custom number of hours — not just the options I set?
Does availability checking account for buffer time between charters?
