✦ Key takeaways

  • Guests submit trip intent — date, duration, party size, contact info — without paying
  • All leads land in a dedicated dashboard with full inquiry detail
  • Convert a lead to a booking with one click once you’ve spoken to the guest

Not every charter inquiry converts on the first visit. Corporate groups need to check calendars. Couples want to talk through options. High-ticket bookings often require a conversation before a credit card comes out.

Hot-lead capture gives those guests a low-friction entry point: they tell you what they’re thinking, you follow up, and you close the booking yourself.

The lead-to-booking flow

  1. Guest submits an inquiry

On your public product page, guests choose Request a Charter instead of Book Now. The inquiry form collects: desired date, requested duration, estimated party size, name, email, phone, and optional notes. No payment required.

  2. Lead appears in your dashboard

Freebo stores the inquiry immediately and sends you an email notification. The Hot Leads dashboard shows every open inquiry with full detail — you never have to hunt for it.

  3. You follow up and close

Call the guest, nail down the details. When they’re ready, click Convert to Booking in the dashboard. Freebo pre-fills the reservation with the inquiry data — no re-entering everything from scratch.

Every lead comes with the selection detail

A lead is only useful if you know what the guest wanted. The Hot Leads pane now shows each inquiry’s contact info alongside the exact selection the guest was making — vessel, date, and guest count — so you can pick up the phone already knowing the trip they had in mind.

That capture now works the same on flex-duration checkout as it does on fixed products: the flex flow leads with contact details first, so an inquiry becomes a hot lead even when the guest doesn’t finish paying.

How long do hot leads stay open?
Leads remain open until you close or convert them. You can mark a lead as lost if it doesn't convert — it disappears from the active queue but stays in your history.
Can guests request a specific boat or captain?
The current inquiry form doesn't include an asset-selection field. Specific asset preferences can go in the guest's notes field, and you handle the assignment manually when you convert.
