How it works

1. Guest books a pending spot

   The guest selects the trip and enters payment info. Their reservation is created with status pending — no charge fires. They see clear messaging that the trip must hit a minimum headcount before it confirms.

2. More guests join

   Each subsequent booking follows the same flow. The operator dashboard shows a live headcount against the configured threshold.

3. Minimum hit — auto-charge fires

   The instant cumulative bookings reach the minimum, Freebo charges all pending reservations simultaneously. Every guest’s status flips to confirmed . No manual step required.

4. Trip never fills — no charge

   If the trip doesn’t reach its minimum by the cutoff, all pending reservations are released automatically. No one is charged. Guests receive an automatic notification.

Operators configure the minimum headcount directly on the product setup screen. Set it once; it applies to every schedule of that product.
